The children and their learning are at the very heart of every decision we make. Childhood is a precious time and you only get one chance at those critical primary years. We aim to develop learners who are passionate, take ownership of their learning and are proud of their achievements. We set high standards to enable children to go on and achieve at secondary school and in life; to be global, national and local citizens playing their full part in society.
Our guiding principle is that all people who come into our school, whether staff, child, parent or visitor, are valued as individuals in their own right. They should set, and be entitled to expect from others, good standards of behaviour, marked by respect and responsibility.
The school will help the child to develop an inner discipline and will encourage children to not just ‘follow the crowd’ – they will make up their own minds and be ready to accept responsibility for what they do. They will grow through making choices and holding to the choices that they have made. Through our values approach we encourage Frimley Learners to think and work independently and collaboratively, to problem solve, to be resourceful and resilient, to be determined and fearless, and to be able to communicate effectively.
